How to use
1. Place the knee support on the top of your knee, so the circle is above your knee cap.
2. Use one hand to keep the circle of the knee support on the knee cap, with the other hand pull the top and bottom strap over your leg. The velcro will fasten these in place
3. Pull the remaining smaller strap across to secure support.
For sprains, strains and pulled muscles, use the support in conjunction with the following techniques to provide symptomatic relief:
P - Protection - Protect the affected area from further injury; for example, by using a support.
R - Rest - Avoid exercise and reduce your daily physical activity for the first 72 hours.
I - Ice - Apply an ice pack to the affected area for 15-20 minutes every two to three hours. Wrap first to avoid it directly touching the skin.
C - Compression - Use a support to apply compression helping to reeduce swelling.
E - Elevation - Keep the injured body part raised above the level of the heart whenever possible. This may also help to reduce swelling.
For weak and arthritic joints, wear the support as needed to provide daytime relief from aches, pain and stiffness.
Hazards and Cautions
Do not wear the support if warming or heat generating liniments, ointments or creams have been applied.
The support should be adjusted so that it is not uncomfortably tight and blood flow is not restricted. Avoid wearing this product overnight or while sleeping. If you are in any doubt whether this product is suitable for you, talk to your pharmacist or doctor.
If the support is being used following an injury, seek medical advice is no improvement is seen within 72 hours. If the injury is severe or if in any doubt, seek medical advice immediately.
If a rash develops, condition worsens or pain continues, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
