DIRECTIONS

For oral use.

DOSAGE:
Adults and children 12 years and older: Swallow 2 tablets (400mg) with water, then if necessary take 1 or 2 tablets (200mg or 400mg) every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 tablets (1200mg) in 24 hours.

If you have an infection, consult a doctor without delay if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.
If this medicinal product is required for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen or new symptoms occur, stop treatment and a doctor should be consulted.

Hazards and Cautions

Warning:
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Seek immediate medical attention in the case of an overdose.

DO NOT TAKE:

• If you have or have ever had a stomach ulcer or other digestive system disorder
• If you are allergic to any of the ingredients or to aspirin or to any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
• Are allergic to ibuprofen, or any of the ingredients of Nurofen 200mg Coated Tablets listed in Section 6 of PIL
• Have experienced shortness of breath, worsening of asthma, allergic rash or an itchy, runny nose or swellingof the lips, face, tongue or throat when taking ibuprofen, codeine, aspirin or other similar medicines
• Are already taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAIDs)
• Have ever had stomach bleeding or perforation after taking ibuprofen, aspirin or other similar medicines
• Have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding.
• Suffer from severe kidney or liver problems
• Have severe heart failure
• Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
• Are under 12 years of age
   

Please consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, elderly, asthmatic, taking any other medicines or receiving regular treatment or if you have any medical conditions which are listed in the Patient Information Leaflet.

Storage
This medicinal product does not require any special storage precautions. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister packaging after "Exp:" The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
