MacuPrime Plus + is an AREDS2 based food supplement for those who wish to protect their normal vision. MacuPrime PLUS+ contains all three macular carotenoids PLUS extra vitamins and minerals to support normal vision by delivering nutrients to the protective macular pigment at the back of the eye.
The MacuPrime PLUS+ triple carotenoid formula combines Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Meso-Zeaxanthin in the essential 10:10:2 macular pigment ratio. In addition to the benefits of carotenoids, MacuPrime PLUS+ also gives you Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Copper and Zinc. Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Copper, each contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and Zinc has been proven to help in the maintenance of normal vision.

What is macular pigment and why is it so important?
Macular pigment protects the light sensitive tissue at the macula from oxygen damage and light. The macula is a small, light-sensitive spot in the centre of the retina. It is responsible for almost 90% of our vision. The macula gives us all of our sharp detailed and coloured central vision that we rely on for activities such as driving, reading, writing and recognising faces.

If you eat porridge please take your daily MacuPrime PLUS+ capsules with your lunch or dinner instead. (The fibre in the oats can inhibit the absorption of the carotenoids into the blood)
