The Ordinary is a collection of treatments that offers a way to target specific skin concerns based on an individual’s requirements. When
combining The Ordinary formulations in a single regimen, we recommend using up to three serums, with water formulations applied before oil formulations, followed by suspensions then creams.
Dry skin
Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. This formula offers immediate and long-lasting hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerine, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid.
Congestion
This masque is formulated to target lacklustre tone and textural irregularities. Infused with charcoal and clays, it aims to enhance the appearance of smoothness and clarity, leaving the skin feeling refreshed. Salicylic acid targets the removal of dead skin cells on the surface of oily and blemishprone skin, with the purpose of revealing more radiant skin beneath. Charcoal and clays aid the removal of facial impurities that would otherwise remain on the skin surface and clog pores.
Signs of ageing
Granactive retinoid has been shown to offer better results against multiple signs of ageing than retinol without any of the associated irritation. This formulation combines two forms of nextgeneration retinoid actives. A 2% concentration of Granactive Retinoid that offers better effects against signs of ageing than retinol, retinyl palmitate and nearly all other forms of non-prescription retinol. It also includes a sustained-delivery form of pure retinol in a protective capsule system which supports both the delivery and the effect of granactive retinoid.
Dull skin
Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of ageing. The format of this formula is a suspension of very fine L-ascorbic acid powder and, as such, provides the most direct exposure of extremely high concentrations of vitamin C topically.
